Diving

Yes, you can really dive for treasure here! The county lies along the heart of the Treasure Coast—where the Spanish Treasure Fleet sank in 1715—making our coast one of most interesting diving spots in the country. Centuries-old Spanish shipwrecks are easily accessible for divers, with some resting as close as 200 yards offshore.  A number of natural reefs, dozens of wrecks and several artificial reefs are waiting for you on the ocean floor—including some accessible directly from the beach. Dive for treasure, lobster, to spearfish or just to see the wonders of the underwater world.
