Birds of Pepper Park Outdoor and nature lovers will appreciate St. Lucie’s dedication to protecting and preserving the environment. With 21 miles of pristine beaches, nearly half are nature preserves—a rare facet for any Florida coastal community. Enjoy an abundance of eco-assets all ready to be explored on nearly 11,000 acres of publicly owned parks and preserves.  Many of these parks and preserves are equipped with amenities that allow you to kayak, ride horses, fish, bird watch, play sports, launch your boat, picnic, grill out, swim or camp. Some even allow you to take your dog along.
